Our logo is a blue mouse, you probably noticed.
It was designed six years ago by a wonderfully generous Spanish friend of ours, who gave their time freely and with grace, brought into the world the Mouse we love.
Our friend was not very happy with what they had produced. It’s hard to know quite what to say when someone invents something which is very special for all sorts of reasons, some I can’t even explain, and to them isn’t quite what they wanted to create.
Perhaps there is a message there, a thread to follow on another blog.
For today’s blog I am going to stay with this thread.
I love our Mouse, I think we all do
It appears on t-shirts and hoodies, bottles and baseball caps, aprons and the other Merch we make from time to time.
Why a blue mouse? Did you ever wonder that?
Our Mouse is blue because that was Beth’s favourite colour.
Our Mouse is a mouse because that was Beth’s first nickname.
Earned because, as a baby, Beth gazed at us with simultaneously gently trusting and quietly curious eyes.
Perhaps today’s message is trust gently, remain curious?
